Kenji Kuramitsu
Kenji Kuramitsu, of Chicago, Illinois, is a Nikkei writer and Episcopalian seminarian interested in the intersections of critical faith, public theology, racism, sacrament, and play. Two years ago (2014), he attended a youth-led civil rights pilgrimage to a former Japanese American concentration camp. This journey inspired him to examine through a Japanese American lens some of this country's most potent instances of institutionalized racial oppression and to look at how these historic injustices connect to current systems of oppression. Kenji sits on the Board of Directors for the Reformation Project and the National Board of the Japanese American Citizens League.
